What sticks out to you as the most formative experience? The experience that you'll remember years later? What was your most joyous experience? What experience are you most proud of yourself for accomplishing?
The most formative experience was interviewing my close friends and the people that I worked close with to find out how I am different from their points of view. I found out that one of my greatest strengths is simply being organized in doing my work, and that I always reach deadlines, and I am never late to meetings. I am most proud of taking a leap of faith and being able to talk to and have meaningful conversations with strangers for the class.
3) At the beginning of the semester, I mentioned that I wanted each of you to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Now, at the end, do you see yourself as an entrepreneur? Do you think you have moved closer to developing an entrepreneurial mindset?
I don't see myself as an entrepreneur per-say, but I do think that I have developed more entrepreneurial skills after taking the class. For example, I have learned to look for opportunities in my everyday life.
4) What is the one recommendation you would make to the students who are going to journey down this path in the future? What would you recommend they do to perform best in this course? What would you recommend they do to foster that mindset?
One recommendation for future students would be to have an open mindset and a growth mindset. Don't treat the assignments as pure homework, but have fun with the assignments as you talk to people around you.

  1. I like this post, it is vary similar to mine. I said that the most formative experience was interviewing my family and friends as well. I also agree that I do not think that I am an entrepreneur but I do have some sort of knowledge of entrepreneurial concepts. I like your recommendation for the future classes because it is good for this class. Good post.

  2. Duc,

I like this post. I agree with you about the entrepreneur mindset. I also do not think I am an entrepreneur simply because I came up with one idea but I do see myself thinking more closely about things such as products and services. I agree with you about the open mindset for future students because this class does seem to be weird and not ordinary assignments which I was skeptical at first but learned to enjoy.

  3. Hi Duc,
I agree with you regarding the question about entrepreneurial mindset. I also do not feel like I am an entrepreneur as I haven’t committed significant resources to start an idea, but I also feel like through this class we learned to look for opportunities. I like your suggestion about having an open mindset as it definitely would help with being an entrepreneur, and I like that suggestion to have fun on the assignments.

  4. hi Duc,
I think that your advice is very key to succeeding in this course. There are lots of weekly assignments that you need to keep up with and as you said it is better not to treat the assignments as pure homework, but have fun with the assignments as you talk to people around you.
